Research Groups
One of the nicest things about being a Freemason is that in addition to the pleasure which Freemason brings it is possible to participate in a hobby or research in a Masonic context. Below are a list of links to web sites which have come to the notice of the Rosslyn Templars as being worthy of inclusion here. If you know of a research group or Lodge etc. which you thinks might be included here let us know and we shall check it out and if considered suitable shall be added here.
The Mark Token Collector's Club This club is not a recognised Masonic body under any Grand Lodge but is comprised of a group of Freemasons who enjoy collecting a swapping Mark Tokens. As an additional interest they sponsor the production of new Mark Tokens to the benefit and pleasure of the members and the Lodges concerned. The group issues a quarterly newsletter with the latest information on the club's activities.
A group dedicated to the study, collection and research of Masonic Jewels (non-Masons would more likely consider them to be medals). A quarterly journal, The Diadem, reports on the groups activities and includes interesting articles on all matters relating to Masonic Jewels. The group is closely associated with a Masonic Lodge, the Thomas Harper Lodge, named after the famous 18th century English Masonic Jeweller.
