Questions not relating to Rosslyn Chapel:

We quite often receive questions by e-mail that we think might be of interest to other visitors to the site. On this page we shall post the most interesting queries and after a month or so will provide the answer - assuming of course that we have one!

We have been sent a photograph of a parade with a request to identify the event. The date is 19th June 1937 and the place is Berwick on Tweed.

The question is: Is this a Masonic parade? and if so what Lodge of Branch of Freemasonry is on parade?

If it is not a Masonic procession what organisation is marching?

The bottom of the banner clearly bears the words The Grand Lodge of Scotland - Greenock 1898. Does this refer to Scottish Freemasonry ? For a larger, clearer, version of the photograph click here or on the image. Please note that the larger version will take a few moments to download.
