Although badly weathered this carving can still identified as a Green Man, and a rather elabotrate one at that. It is inserted in an arch and demonstrates that, as at Rosslyn Chapel, the Green Men at St Mary’s are to be found in a variety of locations.

We hope to provide more information about the Green Man, its’ mean and symbolism, but for now there are only two articles available on this web site. One is a newspaper article another the Green man and Rosslyn Chapel and other a scholarly paper.
