This human head is not a Green Man and may be associated with the legend of the murdered apprentice at Seton Collegiate Church and Rosslyn Chapel. All three Collegiate Churches are within a few miles of each other and the legend would be common among the stonemasons who worked at each might well have used the legend at each location.
