Dunglass » Grave stones within Dunglass Collegiate Church

Sept 166 (last figure illegible) and… The stone on the left shows an hour glass, crossed bones and a skull. It has been said that these symbols mean that the person buried there was a Knight Templar. The reason why it is thought that such grave stones have any relationship with the medieval order of the Knights Templar and Freemasonry, particularly Scottish Freemasonry, is a subject that one of our number is presently researching.
