Coldingham » Coldingham and Area Map
The map showing the location of Coldingham and its’ Priory or Parish Church is take from the Ordinance Survey sheet 67.
Coldingham is reached from the A1, the A1107, and the B6438. The church is not signposted as the Priory but is in the middle of the village. There is a small car at the main junction of the village and which is also part of the access to the church. Be warned that the car park is always full at the times of the Sunday service.
Although there is no evidence whatsoever that the Medieval Order of the Knights Templar had any connection with Coldingham Priory it is interesting to note that there is place marked on the map to the west of the Prior by the name of Temple Hall. As has been suggested elsewhere on this site such place names often indicated that such a place was at one time owned by the Knights Templar (or KT).
