Dunglass Collegiate Church (another Templar Cross?)
Historic Scotland the government body responsible for this building kindly outlined this cross to make it easy to see. One can understand why this might be thought to be a Knight Templar cross but this form of cross to was common throughout Europe during the Middle Ages. Such crosses have to be considered in context and here it is clear that the cross is a consecration cross. |
