The Musician's Pillar

Here we can see a group of musicians situated just above the capital of this pillar. The 'cubes' on the ribs rising from the the pillar are the subject of a 'musical' investigation. To read an article about this click here.
Musicians such as these, with wings, are obviously angels and as messengers of G-d are heralding his Word. This symbolism is most obvious when the angel has a trumpet.
